Freak Dreams

Concept design for german funk-metal band Slope. The artwork for „Freak Dreams“ incorporates visual elements the band is already recognized by such as the spiral or the „Crazy Dancer“ character and combines it with a theatrical and surreal look on (un)conscious reality. Inspired by overall concepts of the surrealists movement of the 1930‘s like the works of Max Ernst and Kurt Schwitter‘s Merzbau.

With an already established „practical effects“ aesthetics especially in their video works the band later decided to rebuild the head using real-life materials. We then went from there into post production and layout.
